About Us
Hi, I'm Scott Moat, the founder of Computers and Beyond. The company began in 2001 on the front porch of my home with two desks and two part-time employees. We soon outgrew our humble beginnings, moving into our first location on Main Street and are now located at 1217 East College Drive. We have proudly served Marshall and the surrounding communities for the past 15 years.

We know technology can be mystifying, frustrating and amazing when it works properly. It's our mission to help customers maximize technology in their homes and offices and work with individuals, families and businesses to develop tailored solutions that suit their lifestyle and/or business needs. Our services include a retail shop, computer repair center and IT business solutions. We welcome you to visit our store or give us a call to learn how we can help make technology work for you, whether in your home and/or office.

Meet The Moat’s
I am a life-long Marshall resident and met my wife, Jan, at SMSU. We’ve been married for 23 years and have three children: Andy, Aaron and Lexi (Alexis). Jan is my Administrative Assistant, although some might argue the real boss. Andy graduated from high school this past May and started SDSU this Fall. Aaron is a high school senior and active in cross country. Lexi is a high school freshman and active in swimming, hockey and marching band. We are proud to live in Southwest Minnesota and to support our local community and businesses.
